24 February 2018 – South (Gilwell Park Scout Adventures
From 13-15 April 2018, all of our Patrol Leaders will meet for a weekend to discover more about their role on Roverway at the PL Academy from learning leadership skills to getting all the latest information so that they feel confident to take their patrol on a Path.
Location – Kibblestone International Scout Campsite
In the Netherlands
21-23 July The UK Scout Contingent will join together for the first time in Amsterdam for our UK-only pre-event for both patrols and IST. For 48 hours, you will be living in The Netherland’s capital with opportunities to see all the sights whether by Amsterdam Metro, bicycle or (of course) canal boat!
23 July Roverway 2018 will officially start at The Hague, the International City of Justice and Peace. In a Dutch ceremony and against a stunning backdrop, expect a modern ceremony packed with fun and music as all 3,000 participants and IST from across Europe meet.
24-28 July After the Opening Ceremony, many Patrols from different countries will come together to form a mixed international crew on a Path. The five day Path will allow you to work closely with other patrols on a specific theme ranging from outdoor and adventure to culture and heritage.
Meanwhile, IST will begin construction of the Central Camp and take part in a dedicated programme of IST activity.
29 July – 2 August Roverway 2018 will conclude with a five day central camp at the International Scout & Guide Centre, Zeewolde. The Jamboree-style camp will allow all participants, patrols and IST to meet and take part in activities from sailing and a live citizenship game to discovering other cultures at the many food houses.
